Organizations from outside of the United States can apply to host courses for training in palliative care, clinical research, multidisciplinary management of common cancers, or cancer control for primary care audiences. Additional one day programs for professional development or tumor board development are available.
Most courses are delivered in person in 2-3 days. However, e-Courses are also available in palliative care (12-14 online sessions).
Limited funding is reserved for in-person courses held in low and middle income countries to support international faculty travel. If eligible, please indicate your need for support in the application. Host organizations typically fund the expenses of hosting the meeting (venue, catering, etc.) and hosting faculty (ground transportation, hotels, meals).
Once the application has been reviewed and approved by the ASCO International Education Steering Group, ASCO and Host Organization will work together to create a team that will further define educational needs, course objectives, and plan the program. Applicants must submit their application at least one year before the event is to be held.
Applications are reviewed on the following schedule:
- 2028 Course applications will be evaluated during two cycles.
- The first review cycle: Submit your application prior to November 1, 2026.
- The second review cycle: Submit your application prior to May 15, 2027.
- Applications for 2029 will open November 1, 2026.
Applications are considered as space is available. It is encouraged to submit for the early review. Please direct any questions to international@asco.org
