2027 ASCO Leadership Development Program: Asia Pacific

ASCO's Leadership Development Program (LDP) in the Asia Pacific identifies and prepares leaders in oncology with essential skills to make a lasting impact within institutions, across the region, and throughout ASCO. 

During this program, participants will: 

  • Enhance leadership skills through interactive training sessions with an expert leadership instructor. 

  • Receive coaching to support growth and development. 

  • Engage with and learn from a group of peers.

Application Guidelines 

Please review the 2027 ASCO LDP: Asia Pacific Request for Applications (RFA).

Applications that do not meet the requirements outlined in the RFA will not be considered for the program; therefore, we strongly encourage all applicants to thoroughly review the document prior to submission. 

Eligibility Criteria 

ASCO’s Asia Pacific Regional Council reserves the right to evaluate and determine applicants’ eligibility based on the information and justifications included in the RFA. 

For the 2027 program, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a current ASCO member. (Non-members must submit a membership application before initiating the LDP application.) 
  • Be a physician practicing in oncology or clinical care of cancer patients and hold an MD, DO, MBBS, MBBCh, or other equivalent degree.
  • Practice in an Asia Pacific eligible country: Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.
  • Have practiced oncology independently for 5 to 15 years following the completion of formal oncology training.
  • Lead and influence others in a professional role.
  • Be able to attend an in-person training April 21-23, 2027, in Seoul, South Korea
  • Demonstrate English language fluency in written and oral communication.

Please note that applicants are not required to complete the entire application at one time. Applicants can save and return to the application until the deadline at 11:59PM ET on August 17, 2026. Note: A 24-hour grace period will be permitted.
